When adding on to an existing home, it is our goal that no one would ever be able to tell. Cohesion throughout a home is of the utmost importance, and when adding additional space to a house, we often take our design cues from the existing architecture.
With our extensive knowledge and expertise in historic homes, we prioritize the addition of curated character and authenticity within all of our new build and addition projects. The goal of our new-build projects is to have our clients enjoy all of todays modern luxuries, while crafting a space that exudes a timeless sophistication, so much so, that guests may not believe it to be a new build!

process
Through our detailed questionnaires, we get to know you and your family and begin to understand your lifestyle and values as well as style and budget. We will also get to know your space; What you love about it, what you don't and what your dreams for the space(s) are.
We will examine the architectural details of the home, overall flow, natural light and a whole lot of other factors so that we can take full advantage of the space and showcase all of the important details throughout our next steps together.
A cohesive personality, textures, colors, personality and the overall flow will be established.
Mood boards, texture stories and a 3d build out of your space will set the stage for a deep dive into the spacial flow and high level placement of plumbing, cabinetry, etc.
Along with various flow options for the spaces, we create visuals to aid in the decision process. White “clay” renderings and, if furnishings are being done as well, budget will be discussed during this phase so that moving forward, we will stay on budget when curating in a later phase.
Our team will be busy sourcing, curating and attaining specific details for your project (fixtures, furnishings, etc.). Should we be doing furnishings, while an agreed upon budget it already established, we will refine this and present options that are within that agreed upon budget.
For a renovation or new build, we will Solidify all build needs such as paints, stains, hardware, millwork, countertops, etc.
We will create detailed construction documentation, complete with a schedule and spec book of all of the agreed upon details so that we are ready to have your project bid by a builder or subcontractors.
Once approved, we will begin our procurement and purchasing process, whereby we not only manage the purchasing, but also track items, keep up with delays and due dates and source a receiving company for you. Items will usually ship to a receiving facility where they are checked for quality, repacked and kept safe until installation day.
After crafting a relationship with your builder, we will support the process alongside them. We will create approximate timelines with them and do our best to keep the project on track. We will create detailed documents for them such as spec books and layouts and insure that all of their questions are answered. Our team will go on site for periodic check ins and be sure to take pictures that will live in dropbox. We will problem solve and answer all of the questions, so you don't have to!
This optional service is something that should be discussed during our Phase II or III together. You will have a project manager dedicated to your project throughout the entire build.
When construction has completed, we will schedule a time with the receiving house to deliver and install all items. The installation process normally takes anywhere from 1-4 days. We will have our entire team on site to answer questions, place items perfectly, style every element, iron every drape and ensure all looks wonderful.
Once done and ready for viewing, we will walk through the spaces with you and create a detailed punch-list for your contractor as well as answer any questions about your new home and finishes.

Our signature style is a blend of traditional and current design, with a focus on sophisticated and timeless interiors that exude warmth and a welcoming undertone. We understand that every client has unique preferences and lifestyles, which is why we work tirelessly to understand and deliver designs that reflect the specific aesthetic of each of our clients.

DISCOVERY
A bit of homework on the front end, same as our renovation process, our detailed questionnaires guide the way to discovering style preferences and the way you live and want to live within your spaces.

The bulk of our work is done during this phase, although not nearly as intensive as our renovation phase, we will source and pull options we feel are best and create detailed presentations until we get it just right. We have access to dozens of trade-only vendors and are happy to pass along special pricing to our clients. We will also come to a budget agreement early on in our work together to insure that we present options within budget.
DESIGN & REFINE

Once approval is given, our team immediately begins the process of buying, reserving and organizing. We are a full service team, which means that if we are purchasing, we will track all items as well as problem solve if something arrives damaged or incorrect. We work with holding facilities to ensure quality control and finally, we install to perfection and accessorize!
